Fjällenskolan – A solid foundation for the future

We are a preschool to year 9 school located in the heart of Viksjö, surrounded by a pleasant residential area. Approximately 650 students attend our school, and we work in collaborative teams to promote each student's social and academic development.

In addition to our regular classes, we also have three resource school classes from preschool class to year 9. Together, we create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment for all our students.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a strong leader in the classroom and want to give students a safe and stimulating start to their educational journey. You should be professionally knowledgeable, engaged, and responsible, and a reliable presence in our resource school class.

Your duties include planning and conducting teaching in all subjects with a clear focus on early language, reading, and writing acquisition. You adapt teaching through differentiated methods to meet each student's needs and continuously monitor their development using your strong assessment skills. Together with other educators in the team, you are responsible for creating and developing a safe and secure environment that attracts and challenges students to activity, learning, and responsibility. You want to drive pedagogical development and use current research in your work. You plan and follow up on teaching, analyzing and assessing results.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher with a focus on preschool to year 6
• Experience with special education groups and/or resource school classes
• Extensive knowledge and experience in early language, reading, and writing acquisition
• Ability to conduct differentiated teaching and strong assessment competence
• Independent and strong classroom leader
• Ability to see the big picture and collaborate with both leisure time centers and the school's student health services
• Ability to take responsibility for the entire assignment and drive student development forward, both academically and socially
